Traffic is currently being held on part of the M1 after a car overturned, causing delays for drivers.
Drivers have been held southbound from junction 30 for Worksop/Sheffield South and junction 29A and there are delays of 20 minutes.
Meanwhile, there are huge queues on the A404 near Maidenhead, in Buckinghamshire, after a serious collision and part of the northbound carriageway is closed.
Disruption also hit travel between Vauxhall and London Waterloo stations, causing delays to the morning commute.
A fault with the signalling system between the two stations will last until at least midday.
Lines reopened around 8am but trains may still be delayed by up to 15 minutes or revised and run at reduced speed, according to National Rail.
