This is the embarrassing moment some litter pickers find a pair of fake boobs in a lay-by.

Andy Tilley and Deane Gough regularly volunteer as litter pickers in Sutton Bridge, Lincolnshire.

Besides the fake boobs, the couple also found a full catheter bag, antiques and even a 21-year-old crisp packet left in hedges and on verges.

But there have been other naughty items too including nipple clamps, suspenders and stilettos.

It is not all fun and games for the pair, who are often targeted with abuse and have rubbish hurled at them by passing motorists.

Since January the couple have racked up an impressive 4,494 in filled rubbish bags but reckon they can easily top 5,000 by December.

They even filled 75 bin bags with trash dumped on the A17 near Sutton Bridge in one four-hour session.

Deanne, 60, said: We live in a throw-away society.

If someone buys a new phone and doesnt want it they just chuck it away.

When we were young we took our rubbish home with us.

Andy, 60, added: People have shouted get a job so I shout back use a bin but we are just used to it now.

Fly-tippers should have their cars crushed there and then. I think their registration should be put on receipts to help identify them.

Penalties need to be much tougher we clear bags and bags of dog mess we need more resources cameras but there is an issue around GDPR.

Other highlights the pair come across include disposable vapes, fast food wrappers and plastic bottles.

Deanne said: People say its McDonalds fault but its not its your fault.

We report those as fly-tipping but they are still there after weeks and weeks.

People will come and talk to us while we are on our hands and knees clearing litter.

Some people buy us coffee and thank us.

In honour of their efforts, the couple are to be formally thanked at a ceremony at South Holland District Council later this month.
