PAT Sharp has shared an update on plans for an immersive version of Fun House for adults.

Since 2017, an idea for an adult immersive version of Fun House had been in the works.

Speaking on podcast Celebrity Catch Up: Life After That Thing I Did, Pat revealed this adult offering wont be going ahead.

The team were unable to obtain rights to pull off the concept.

They had managed to secure venues and a company was ready to run it.

Back in 2017, a crowdfunding campaign was set up to help create the super-sized games.

These would have also included Pat and Fun House twins Melanie and Martina but the campaign failed to reach its £650,000 target.

Pat said on the podcast: I would say safely now, sadly, it wont happen.

“We just couldnt get anybody to agree all the terms with the rights to enable it to happen as an adult immersive attraction, which is what we wanted to do.

“We had venues in place. We had companies in place who knew what they were doing to make this happen and make it brilliant.

And we just werent allowed to get the rights to do it because of various reasons.”

Meanwhile, the presenter also addressed possible limited interest in Fun House returning in 2024.

He shared: Its probably missed the boat now.

I think it would have had its time maybe perhaps 10 years ago would have been a really good time to do it.”

The beloved childrens show first launched on screens on February 24, 1989.

The programmes original US counterpart had debuted a year earlier.

Previously, fans were previously delighted to see Pat and the twins reunite for a fun snap.

Sharing a selfie on X, formerly Twitter, he wrote: Funhouse twins alert.

Pat was seen right at the front, while Melanie and Martina stood behind him striking matching poses with their arms in the air.
