Drivers on the M25 are facing delays of up to 80 minutes following a crash on Godstone.
Two lanes which were closed this morning on the M25 anti-clockwise between J6 and J5 have since reopened, and traffic is expected to gradually ease, according to National Highways.
Lanes 1 and 2 were temporarily closed this morning, but reopened shortly after 8am.
A National Highways spokesperson said: ‘There are 80 minute residual delays between J7 and J5. Delays are expected to ease.’
Elsewhere on Britain’s roads, the M61 has reopened with long delays expected following a multi-vehicle collision on the motorway this morning. National Highways have warned of ‘residual delays’ of up to an hour approaching J4.
The A12 is also experiencing slow-moving traffic after a series of car accidents near the Suffolk-Essex caused travel in both directions to be halted earlier this morning. Delays of around 40 minutes are expected in both directions.
Heavy rain and snow is also expected over parts of Wales and the South West of England on Monday, which may also affect rail lines and motorways.
