Drivers on a major motorway in the North West face nearly hour-long delays after a crash sparked a fire and blocked traffic.
Two vehicles collided on the southbound carriageway of the M61 between Manchester and Preston shortly after 2pm, after which one went up in flames.
Traffic was held while emergency services attended the scene between junctions 6 and 5 near Bolton, with firefighters seen working to put out the flames. Nobody was injured in the collision.
Delays were running at around 50 minutes as of a National Highways update just after 4.30pm, while northbound traffic was also slightly delayed.
