Numerous stretches of motorway will be closed overnight for upgrades and repairs.

They usually come into force around 8pm and open back up tomorrow morning around 6am, but some close later and open earlier.

Its worth checking with National Highways and keeping an eye out for diversion signs so youre not caught off guard.

Seven sections of motorway are closed tonight, not including the slip roads also closed to facilitate them.

These are:

M1 southbound J14 to J11A
M11 northbound J7A to J8
M25 clockwise J25 to J27
M25 westbound Terminal 5 spur road
M4 eastbound J4 to J3
M4 northbound J4A to J4 (lanes 3, 4 and 5)
M4 westbound J1 to Heston Services
M42 southbound J3 to J2
M5 northbound J28 to 26
M53 southbound J9 to J10
M57 northbound J1 to J2
M57 southbound J4 to J2
M6 northbound J19 to J20
M6 southbound J22 to J21A
M61 northbound J2 to J4
M62 eastbound between J29 to J30
M66 southbound between J9 and J2
